Indiana Nursing Academy Offers Hybrid CNA Classes,
Approved by the Indiana State Department of Health!
Students can choose to complete the first 6 days live online (or onsite, in-person) as we study the textbook together. (Phones are acceptable to access the live online class).
The remaining 12 days are Mandatory onsite/in-person for clinical training.
CNA Clinicals are Held at a Comprehensive Nursing Facility in Avon, IN.
If you already know of a long-term care facility you’d like to work with, you may be able to complete your clinicals within your facility. Contact us to learn how.
What is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)?
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an Essential Member of the Medical Community, Working Directly with Patients and Nurses, Providing Both Basic and Complex Care.
CNAs will Assist Residents with Activities of Daily Living, such as Toileting, Bathing, Dressing, and Feeding while Also Playing a Role in the Prevention of Pneumonia, Wounds, and Infections.
As a CNA, you may also assist in the Process of Rehabilitation after Surgery, Illness, or Acute Events such as Major Trauma or Stroke.
Our Experienced Indiana Nurses will Provide In-Depth CNA Training to Help You Succeed as a Knowledgeable CNA while Remaining within the CNA Scope of Practice.
Tutoring and a Comprehensive Lab is Included with Tuition, Complete with Two Medical Training Manikins. Available to Students for Added Practice at No Additional Cost.

CNA Requirements
Bring All Documents to Class.
Students can send documents via Email: Admin@IndianaNursingAcademy.com if completing the first 6-days online, but then you must also bring all physical documents with you during the first in-person class.
Once the Deposit is Complete, Books will be Mailed for those completing the Online Class.
Students Completing the Course In-person will Receive Books on the First Day of Class.
* Age 16 or Older: No High School Diploma or GED is Required, but it is encouraged.
* Copy of State ID /Driver’s License/Passport
*Physical Exam
* TB Test Results (Skin Test, Blood Test, or Chest X-Ray): A Previously obtained physical or TB will be accepted if dated within 12 months of the first day of Class.
* Criminal Background Check (mycase.in.gov)
You May Choose to Perform Hands-on Clinical Training Within Your Own Facility or with us (as a class) in Avon:
Your Facility Must Complete the “Affiliated Facility Form” and Obtain Approval Before the CNA Course Starts.
It can take approx. 30-days for us to gain approval for a new facility. Call for more information to ensure that all requirements are met. If the facility is not approved, the student will be required to complete clinicals with the class in Avon.
CNA Training Schedules
TUITION INCLUDES: CNA Textbook, Quizzes,
Blood Pressure Cuff with Stethoscope
1:1 Tutoring, 6-Remediation Class, &
Extra Lab Hours are Included upon Request.
Students are Required to Purchase Light Blue Scrubs
TB Test and Physical Exam. Students must pay the $100 fee to sit for the state exam. The fee to sit for the state exam is paid to Ivy Tech after graduating the training program.

No Highschool Diploma or GED is Needed for the CNA Course.
Our TB and Physical Forms are NOT Required to be used.
Students can use the TB and Physical form received from the clinic or facility.
If the clinic/facility does not have their own TB or physical form, then we have provided a form to be used.
Students Must complete the Entrance Exam provided here.

Extended Date to Complete Tuition Cost: (Must be approved prior to the first day of class):
Training Must be paid in full before sitting for the State Exam Unless an extended payment agreement is completed prior to the start of class.

Employer May Provide 100% Reimbursement for Your CNA and QMA Training when You Become Employed After Starting the Program. Speak with your facility for more information.
Federal regulation at 42 CFR 483.152(c)(1) states that “No nurse aide who is employed by, or who has received an offer of employment from, a facility on the date on which the aide begins a nurse aide training and competency evaluation program may be charged for any portion of the program (including any fees for textbooks or other required course materials).”(Call (317) 439-7728 for more details).
